Our Story

Growing up in the Oklahoma panhandle, Mr. Burger was always a place for after school coke dates and lunch after church on Sunday. After moving to Abilene on a whim in 2005, we spent the first few months missing Mr. Burger’s sodas with crushed ice and the delicious jalapeño chicken dinners. After eyeing the lot that was once the home to Charlie’s on the corner of Antilley and Buffalo Gap Rd, the decision was made to bring Mr. Burger to Abilene. In November of 2006 Mr. Burger opened its doors and continues to thrive due to the abundant support from the Abilene community. Mr. Burger become the place for first time jobs for dozens of high schoolers, the morning meeting place for retired regulars to chat over coffee, and the meeting place for families and teams after games and school activities. We are beyond grateful for the support of our patrons and we look forward to many more years of serving the great people of Abilene!
